Become a MIM-approved Provider

 

Milly In Motion partners with independent adaptive providers who are aligned with our mission and values to support our participants. These providers are not employees or representatives of Milly In Motion; they operate their own professional practices while collaborating with us to deliver high‑quality adaptive services.

 

1.     Basic Requirements:

 

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED certification.

  • Completed background check (state + FBI fingerprinting + sex offender registry + CPS check) — required for all MIM providers.

  • First Aid certification.

2.    Additional MIM Provider Requirements:

       Approved Adaptive Certifications (Required for Independent Provider Status)

       These certifications prepare professionals to work with all disability groups and meet MIM’s full adaptive‑fitness                   standard.

         

Individuals who hold an approved adaptive certification (AIT, Autism Exercise Specialist or Certify Strong) are fully qualified to serve as MIM Adaptive Fitness Providers, regardless of academic degree.

Autism Exercise Specialist

Autism Exercise Specialist Course and Certificate - ACSM

Adaptive Special Needs Fitness Trainer (CAPT / ASNT)

Adaptive Fitness Certification - Certify Strong

  • Academic Pathway (Entry‑Level Only — Certification Required Within 12 Months)

               This pathway is designed for emerging professionals entering the adaptive fitness field. Individuals may begin                     with this pathway but must obtain an approved adaptive certification (AIT, Autism Exercise Specialist or Certify                     Strong) within 12 months to continue as a MIM provider.

                         Academic Coursework Requirements:

  • Associates, Bachelor, Masters, or PhD in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Special Education, or a related field

  • Minimum one 3‑credit course in Adapted Physical Education

  • Supervised experience in adaptive fitness within the last 5 years

           

         Additional Notes

  • Individuals who previously joined MIM under earlier standards may be grandfathered at MIM’s discretion.

  • All providers must maintain professional conduct, safety standards, and compliance with MIM policies.
