Feeling the need for more inclusion and professional physical fitness choices for individuals with
cognitive and developmental disabilities, Milly in Motion, Inc. was founded by Kahmilah Eley and
her mother Carol Green in January 2022. Kahmilah, the president of Milly in Motion, who has
Cerebral Palsy, has experienced gains in her overall well-being.

Our Mission
Milly in Motion, Inc. exists to support physical fitness opportunities for individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities by empowering them to create their own path to better fitness and wellness. To do this, we offer financial reimbursement for certified special population personal trainer services.

Kahmilah "Milly" Eley
President
Kahmilah is one of the founders of Milly In Motion, Inc. (MIM). She is passionate about inspiring people in similar situations as herself. She graduated from high school with highest honors in 2020 and currently attends college, majoring in Social Science. Kahmilah is always actively making connections and building relationships to bring awareness to MIM. In addition to her busy schedule, she finds time to work out with her adaptive personal trainer and volunteer in her community a few times a week helping others. In her spare time, she enjoys outings with friends and spending time with family which includes her emotional support dog, Charley Boy.

Carol A. Green
Vice President
Carol is the mother to Milly, the organization’s President. She regards herself as a Generalist and has what she considers a portfolio career of learning new things. Highlights in her vast education and work experience includes a medical assistant, a landscaper, a realtor, an investor, and a property manager. She also has over 20 years of experience in the Human Services field advocating for the elderly and disabled population. Most recently, she has worked as a service facilitator assisting with Medicaid waiver client-centered case management services. All the while, since receiving a medical diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy for Milly has made it her goal to gain a deep understanding about the neurological disorder and the impact it has on her daughter’s life. As one of the founders of MIM, she is committed to its mission. Carol enjoys gardening, listening to music, exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Larry Mercado
Treasurer
I am strongly committed to assisting my clients with personalized and qualified services. I understand what it takes to make sure finances are perfectly in order. James Halsey, Jr.
Member
James is currently retired. He has a significant amount of experience in Operations Management with a proven track record of ensuring organizational efficiency by managing workflows, budgets, and assets while improving processes across departments. He is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where he majored in Business Administration. He also holds an MBA from Troy University. Throughout his career, he has served on many boards and is currently a trustee on the board for his church, Exodus Fellowship located in Greensboro, North Carolina.
James is a self-proclaimed sports fanatic, whose favorite teams are the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the Baltimore Ravens. In his spare time, he enjoys watching sports, traveling and Photography.

Sandra "Sandy" Hermann
Member
Sandy serves as the Community Resource Coordinator for Care Connection for Children at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Virginia’s care coordination program for children and youth with special health care needs. In this role, she supports individuals with disabilities, families, and organizations by providing critical resources and information. A graduate of the Partners in Policymaking advocacy training program, she has served on Virginia’s state developmental disabilities council and the State Board of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services through gubernatorial appointments. Mrs. Hermann has also been an active member of the Consortium of Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs and the Virginia Beach Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) for over 20 years. As a past Parent Representative of the State Special Education Advisory Committee, she advised the Virginia Board of Education on the needs of students with disabilities. Most importantly, as a parent of a young adult with disabilities, she brings a unique personal and professional perspective to her work, focusing on accessibility, supports, and services for individuals with disabilities.
